DVD
During 2002/2003 we provided 6 language version subtitles
to feature on four Peter Greenaway DVD releases for the
British Film Institute.
It was a great opportunity for us. The project called
for close collaboration with the BFI and the director
himself in order to successfully convey his unique style.
Regular liaison with the authoring house was also essential
to ensure continuity across all project components, including
the final DVD menus.
Finding the right translators was vital: they had to possess
the artistic and linguistic flair necessary to portray
the director’s cinematic vision. Peter Greenaway’s
audience is exceptionally dedicated, so attention to detail,
having the right artistic tone and perfect quality control
were the key to making our translations pass the test.
