IMS signs exclusive media access services contract with the SCI FI Channel

IMS, the leading independent supplier of media access services, today announces it has signed an exclusive three-year contract with broadcaster the SCI FI Channel (“SCI FI”) to supply subtitling, signing, and audio description services until January 2008.

The exclusive 3-year agreement will see IMS provide a host of media access functionality to SCI FI including a range of subtitling, signing, and audio description services. This agreement is a clear indication that broadcasters are placing greater importance on media access services and IMS is best placed to provide the ‘one-stop’ solution required.

Reaching over 3 million people each week, SCI FI features a continuous stream of cinematic hits, British TV premiere series and special events, bringing viewers the best content from the worlds of the fantasy, horror, science fiction and the paranormal. SCI FI is a channel service of Universal Studios Networks, a division of NBC Universal.
